Coming Home to Myself: Mental Clarity, Seasonal Hope, and a Body Reclaimed

“My journey with Ayurveda has been an enlightening experience. In many ways, I would consider it a way of life that has brought me home, back to myself. In the fall of 2024, I participated in a nourishing cleanse, which encouraged me to detoxify my body from long-accumulated toxins. I learned about useful herbs and healthier ways to prepare my food. I enjoyed conversations with like-minded individuals. And I walked away with greater mental clarity as well. Each winter, I struggle with a seasonal depression that seems to loom over me like a dark cloud. During this workshop, I learned about Guduchi (also known as Giloy). This herb powder provided me with antioxidants and helped elevate my mood during times I could barely get out of bed. Needless to say, it allowed me to push throughout each cold winter day as a healthier human. I began to have faith again in Mother Nature's healing properties and regained hope that I could still be productive during the winter season. Today, I still practice small cleanses from time to time and use Guduchi as needed to nourish my body and boost my immune system.
